One Big Silver Lining.

Our new apartment is starting to feel like home and one extra nice feature is the beautiful view we have from the living room, patio and the two bedrooms. We overlook Portishead and one of these days, I think it could yield a great image. Here is a test shot...

April...A Challenging Month

April was a difficult month. I lost my beautiful mum. She was 92 years old. Thankfully she passed peacefully. painlessly, and with dignity. My mum had a wonderful spirit. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. She was an adorable lady and a very special mum. She will be missed.

At the same time that this happened I came down with a bad case of chicken pox and we had to move home as well. All is the same week!

Below is a studio portrait of my mum that I took in San Diego 25 years ago. Can't you just see the warmth of her character?

The Photography Show

Wow...The brainstorming session must have been exciting to behold when they came up with the title of this new show! This was its innaugural year and although there were wrinkles that I am sure will be ironed out by next year, it was difinitely well worth attending.
Not too much on the camera technology frontier, Wi-Fi connectivity is becoming increasingly popular, as is geo-tagging (the ability to record your exact location at the time of exposure in the meta data of the image).
Of course, this is already taken for granted by photographers who use their smart phones!

Sibling Harmony

One of the pleasures of my job is to witness family togetherness and especially that sibling bond thing. It's always cool to photograph and a value cannot be put on it. These brothers and sisters are a great example of this.

Slightly Big Waves

Saturday found me in Portcawl on the south Wales coast. Bad weather had been forecast and for once they got it right. The wind was blowing furiously and whipping up the sea into a frenzie. Perfect conditions for spectacular coastline photography. It did take about half an hour to get the feeling back in my totally frozen hands though.

If you would be so kind as to vote for your favourite below, I would appreciate it. The winner will be selected as an addition to my art gallery portfolio.

Bath Architecture.

The architecture around Bath really is something. In this shot the groom looks very much at home...he is Italian. His bride Russian.

Portishead. Our Home. A New Canvas.

I am proud to present a new canvas that will soon be showcased at a local restaurant. This image is 30"x40" and has been beautifully printed by my canvas printing specialists in Manchester.
